Compressor not running. James F. • Cudjoe Key , FL • April 02, 2014
I did some research. Found a comment on this website... shake the ptc component it was ratteling... there's a ceramic disc inside the ptc. if broken, this could be the source for the ratteling sound. Sure enough that was happening... one new ptc later an all is good. Ran fridge for 3 days now... no issues
It was gamble, took it.. and came out ahead. The capicitor looked as if was OK... it was not buldging... no obvious burnt marks anywhere.
Tricky part was getting the 'bale' wire reattached...

Genuine Bosch part
By: Bosch
Part Number: 00166625
The Sealing is an OEM replacement part for Bosch brand dishwashers. Located on the perimeter of the small rinse aid compartment door, this resilient rubber piece forms an essential water-tight seal when the dispenser is closed.
Symptoms of a potentially problematic rinse aid door sealing include:
- Leakage or spills within the rinse aid reservoir
- Mineral deposits or residue build up inside the compartment
- Cracks, tears, or deformation of the sealing material
Causes of a faulty rinse aid door sealing can be repetitive opening/closing stress breaking down pliability long-term. Exposure to chemical vapors from the rinse aid may also degrade sealing properties.
This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.

I called Appliance Parts Pros and gave them the model number of my refrigerator. They promptly advised me exactly what part I needed, told me the price and cost of shipping. I agreed and received my part within 2 days.
I watched the video that told me exactly how to complete repair. It was very simple. The only thing different was that there was a metal strip holding the gasket in place. Removing it was no problem. When I installed it I had to loosen the screws? nuts? slip the gasket...

The Compressor Overload Protector is an OEM replacement part for LG refrigerators. It plays an important safety role in protecting the compressor from damage due to excessive heat. Located near the compressor unit, the overload protector functions to shut off power to the compressor if temperatures become too high during operation.
Causes can include normal wear over time rendering it less responsive to temperature changes. Mineral or refrigerant deposits may also impede its ability to detect overheating conditions accurately.
Symptoms of a faulty overload protector include:
- Refrigerator fails to properly cool or the compressor does not run
- Circuit board or electrical component failure or burnout
- Lack of cold air production and higher than normal freezer/fridge temperatures
This OEM LG part is also compatible with some Sears/Kenmore models.

8 y/o LG unit was not cooling or freezing. There was a clicking on the back side every 2-3 minutes. The OLP & PTC recommended for my unit. were different than the original TSD and I thought I would have to return the parts. However, I got on a chat...
