My refrigerator is 13 yrs old and began to build up frost in the ice cube shoot and the water tube began to freeze up over night. The flapper door was not closing completely. I simply removed the control panel by pulling up and out on the bottom edge, the edge is only about 1/8 inch thick, so don't reach in to far. In order to replace this, you must remove the "outer door". This service manual is a pretty good reference (page 37): http://members.msaworld.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2017/02/2013-DW-Service-Manual.pdf Note that this specific dishwasher has 12 screws that need to be removed before the outer door can be separated. Removed 2 screws from mullion strip heater and slid it up off the tabs at top and bottom. Unhooked the plug and removed it. Verified proper mullion heater and then plugged wiring connection back together, positioned slide clips back in line and slid mullion down onto the clips. Tucked the wiring back into opening positioned cover back in place and reiinstalled the 2 screws. I found the door switch was not making contact when the door closed. I adjusted it, but then it would not open so the dishwasher would run when the door wasn't closed. The contacts were too long in the switch so they would bend and stay together when the door opened. The original switch was very poorly made for a very expensive Maytag dishwasher. The very easy diagnosis was motor seizure. Because the machine is about a decade old, I decided to renovate most of the guts. My DIY project included replacing the motor, blower, drum bearing, belt, and door hinge. The end result is a functional dryer with no left-over parts. Did lots of internet research. Narrowed problem down to three things - door lock latch, control unit, and motor control unit. Figured out how to run the diagnostic test program, which showed a F22 (door lock) error. Removed and ohm tested the door lock (pins 1 & 3).
