Replaced the gas regulator and the oven igniter. It was not a very difficult repair.. most of the parts were easy to get to. The biggest challenge was disconnecting the gas hose from the regulator. It had "pipe dope" (sealant) on the threads. I reconnected with yellow gas pipe tape. Read more

Oven Igniter
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: 786324

The Oven Igniter is an OEM part for Whirlpool ovens. It is responsible for igniting the gas burner to produce heat, which is essential for baking and broiling. The igniter heats up to a high temperature and then sparks to ignite the gas, ensuring that the oven reaches and maintains the desired cooking temperature.

You should replace the oven igniter if it becomes faulty. Causes of a bad igniter can include electrical failures, wear and tear from regular use, or damage from exposure to high temperatures. A malfunctioning igniter can prevent the oven from heating properly or at all.

Symptoms of a bad oven igniter include:

  • The oven not heating up or taking longer than usual to reach the desired temperature
  • The igniter glowing but failing to ignite the gas burner
  • No visible glow from the igniter when the oven is turned on
  • The oven producing a clicking sound without igniting

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and some Kenmore models.

This part fixes the following symptoms
  • Little to no heat when broiling
  • Little to no heat when baking
  • Gas igniter glows, but will not light
  • Won't start

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Broiler igniter failed   James S. • Winchester , MA • September 26, 2014

Replaced the igniter, Simple but there are several points to remember. TURN THE POWER OFF 1) remove the oven door or you will have a hard time reaching the back of the oven. Mine just lifted off. 2) The igniter tip is fragile put a drop cloth over the oven floor in case you drop it even after it is in its holder. 3) The drop cloth will catch screws too if you drop them so they won't fall into the oven. 4) The cable from the oven is very short even after pulling it out from the hole at the back.... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Ge gas range double oven lower oven would not ignite   Susan L. • Rochester , NY • May 18, 2015

Removed bottom flame cover in lower oven to find the ignitor was actually broken into pieces. We assume it exploded because the bottom side of the cover had a hole blown in it and had to be hammered flat. My 18+ year old Jennair cooktop, PN CCG2520W was in need of a rebuild b/c of a welded venturi tube on the right front [RF] burner. In order to remove the glass top cover, you MUST remove the venturi tube. To do this you have to DRILL-OUT the venturi tube which requires a new venturi and orifice holder. Dryer Moisture Sensor Holder
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: 4930EL2004D

This is a mounting bracket that holds the moisture sensor in place inside the dryer drum area. The moisture sensor detects how wet the clothes are and signals the dryer to stop when they are dry. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Faulty moisture sensor on dryer   Lee W. • Thompson's Station , TN • July 03, 2020

We called a repairman out who was rude, obnoxious and seemingly incompetent. After an hour of dissembling our dryer, he quickly slapped it back together and told us it would be $200 to fix.
