The heating element had a break in the heater coils, so I replaced it with a new one from Appliance Parts Pros. I also replaced the thermal fusible link and thermostat switch because they were so cheap it just made sense to go ahead and do it while I was in there. My first attempt was to replace the main board and then the thermistor, should have done this the other way around, turned out it was the thermistor, a pretty cheap part, dryer works great now. Repair requires removing the drum but overall not too difficult or time consuming.
