I shopped around a bit - found one retailer that only had 1 shock in stock, another that only stocked the front shocks, etc. There is definitely a difference in the springs between the green colored and white colored shocks! I've torn this washer down before, so I'm fairly familiar with how it's put together. When I took it apart I found that the drive cup was cracked, the helix lock plate hole was reamed out and the ice deflector spring was broken. The biggest problem was the helix had slipped down the shaft and allowed the end of the shaft to bore a hole in the housing which made it a bear to get out. Others have had the same problem. Once I got past that obstacle, it was simple to replace all the parts and it's working like normal again. Very helpful video explaining the repair. Read more

Downloaded the Technical Service Guide and followed the instructions for removal of the Door Closure Mechanism. Items the instructions failed to mention: 1. Although they took the trouble to call for removal of a 3/16" Allen head bolt, they referred to the closure mounting bolts as just "bolts". In fact, they were T-25 bolts. One of the suspension springs broke cause the drum to wobble violently which in turn tore the seal. Additionally ti allowed the drum to drop onto the discharge hose tearing it. I literally could have done this job with a blindfold on! No kidding. Come on people! My grandmother could have done this one! Since the rubber gasket/skirt in the front of the washer (seals the door) was twisted when the spring failed and the drum failed, I had to remove the wire hoop and spring that held it in place and readjust the skirt. Fixing was easy and took approximately 1 hour. I have a Bosch Axxis washing machine and all parts came exactly as ordered and within 2 days of order. I had to take off front and top panel and the door switch. The new wire and spring was part of the order and I had to pay for it. The old parts looked fine to me and I could have reused them but since I had the new ones, I replaced them anyhow. I wish I would have the option to buy the rubber gasket only. Read more

Removed refrigerator panel, disconnected light and fan power. Removed fan assembly and replaced motor, grommets and fan attachment spring. Unit had adhesive on spring to help hold the spring. Chatted with customer service and clarified that spring and fan would easily pull off motor shaft. Adhesive probably was extra measure used during original build of the fridge. Noise was due to fan rubbing on housing. New fan position set to avoid any rubbing. Read more

Got a small piece of sheet metal for Home Depot, Cut it to fit, and drilled holes to fit. Replaced spring and plastic holder, and put it back together. Spring was a little tricky to put on, because of the spring strength, but I got it. Read more

I researched the problem and found that normal wear and tear will cause the Damper shocks and the Suspension spring to fail. I decided to replace all Damper Shocks and the suspension Springs since I had the washer apart already. The Suspension Spring requires a lot of pull to get it in place correctly. I made a hook tool (from political yard sign frame) to hook the old spring to remove and pull the new spring up. It helps to have a second person use leverage (use a short 2x2 board) under the... Replaced all 4 shocks, and 2 suspension springs. The overall fix was easy for the shocks which only require a quarter turn with a cresent wrench to replace. The suspension springs are more difficult because the bottom of the washer drum must be supported due to the substantial weight. I used a car jack to support the drum from the bottom and a long bunge wrapped around the main drive pulley. I.would not have been able to do this as a one person without it.
