This is the main drive motor that powers the agitation and spin cycles in a washing machine. It connects to the transmission and drum assembly to rotate the wash basket during operation. Took the back cover off, noticed the bolt holding the rotor on was broke off in the shaft which wore the stator and rotor. So I drilled out the broken bolt and extracted it with an easy out and replaced the stator the rotor and the bolt. Works great ! I maybe had 2 hours time in it and that includes taking it out of the laundry room and into the garage to work on it and back. Read more
