Door Latch Spring Parts

First I check with Appliance Part Pros, watch videos how to access the parts I believe to be the problem. I love there videos and parts list of solutions to fix what it wrong. First I removed the washer from the laundry room and but it in the garage for more room to work on it. I removed the two screws and all the pieces that were broken. Went online to Appliance parts.com, searched for the part using the model number from the machine and ordered the part . part arrived in 2 days and with a Phillips screwdriver was installed in less than 5 minutes. Read more

I easily found the replacement part on the Appliance Parts Pros website and ordered (2), one for each end of the handle and yes it is the same part for either side. They showed up a few days later. I had seen a video of how to expose the handle screws behinf the door face. The easiest repair I've ever done. I originally thought (after watching some youtube tutorials) I would need to replace the spring on the flap, but it is not accessible on our Samsung model. Undid the two screws holding the flap to the fridge door, pop it up off the other supports, and un-clip it from the power cord. Put the new flap on the same way and all done! I originally called a local repair company. After waiting a week they told me they were unable to get the part and that it was back ordered!! I asked them to give me the part numbers...at which point he said..."you won't find them"! The most difficult part was figuring out how to take the door off as the manual instructions were not clear. Thank you, YouTube for your help. This door doesn't have the more modern release latches. You open the door all the way and stick Allen wrenches into the holes that appear by the joint of the latch. Found the end of the right-side Door Spring that connects to the Door Cable broke off and the plastic end of the Door Cable that connects to the Door Spring was also broken off. Ordered a replacement Door Spring 154579101 and Door Cable 154578801 from AppliancePartsPros.com When the parts arrived a few days later, I watched the video on the AppliancePartsPros. My GE dryer from the late 80's/early 90's was squealing when it would start up, belt or bearing I was thinking. I found a manual online that covered my model and I watched a video on this site that showed me how to take it all apart, mine was a bit different but the principles were the same. Replaced the cheap plastic lever supporter with another LG OEM cheap plastic lever supporter. I should have bought two as I can see this problem happening again. Job was a simple fix and only required a Phillips head screwdriver. I did not need to remove any connections as there was enough room and wire to pull out the oven control assembly and make the repair. After finding the model number for my dishwasher, I looked on line for the part and ordered it. The part arrived next day. I was a little hesitant to tackle it myself, as I am a 67 year old female. I removed the top cover and found the left main suspension spring broken. Appliance Part Pros had the new springs (2 I replaced both) at my door in 26 hours. Excellent service from this company. After disassembling the drum from the chassis of the machine, it was very easy to replace the springs. i do wish however that I had purchased a higher quality machine. I called a local repair center who estimated $300+ to fix this. I bought a door handle and door latch for $~100 and fixed my dishwasher in about 10 mins. I ordered the parts on Sunday, they arrived on Tuesday. Very happy with appliance parts pros and would recommend them. Read more

Rebalanced the load but noticed the drum was sitting lower and the springs were wore out and it went out of balance easy, so i got the suspension rod kit and installed it and it works much better. It took me 2 hours because i didnt have adequate room to move around. Hour job if you have room. Read more
