My microwave was stainless steel. I ordered the part for stainless steel, but it was not identical in color. It was black and not the gray color of stainless steel. However, I removed the stainless steel (the actual metallic) frame from my broken grille (bent back a few metal tabs and pried loose the adhesive tape with a putty knife). After watching a number of videos and reading a lot of trouble-shooting discussions online I had ideas of what to look for as possible causes of the overfilling of the drum. I found the water level pressure hose had worn through after contacting the rotor. After temporarily taping the hose, I found the service manual inside the machine so I ran it through it test sequences without any error codes. This hose did not just attach to the back of the washer--that would have been too easy. This hose went into the back of the washer, under the tub & attached to the pump at the front of the washer. Both the back & front of the washer had to be removed to access the hose. Luckily the crack was at an external spot where it was easily seen; unluckily my husband was out of town at the time & I had to take the washer apart & put it back together.
