Replaced element. The new element was perfect. The shipping was perfect. Installation would have taken less than 10 minutes if the two range wires attaching to element had been 1 inch longer. Attached thin nosed vice grips to wires at spade terminals to facilitate attachment to element. The repair was simple enough but it would have been perfect if GE engineers had made wires 1 inch longer.

First I removed the (3) wire shelves. Removed the bottom cover by removing the (2) screws in the back. This exposed the oven element. Removed the (2) screws holding the mounting bracket on the front of the element then removed the (2) screws on the silver bracket that holds the back of the element. I lifted the front hood and removed the back control panel cover. I then replaced two terminal blocks with the new kits. Perfect match except wires were a bit long. So I rolled them up neatly and tucked them away at the control center. Used electrical tape to band both sets of wire and protect them from the metal edges between the range and control area. I replaced the control cover and installed two new burners. Perfect installation.
