I tried to buy a new refigerator, but strangely none of the major stores had anything I wanted in stock. The earliest delivery date for a new unit was over a month away. Replaced control board. Did not need Control Thermistor in my case, but I'm keeping it as backup. Got the Drum Belt just in case it breaks on me since the dryer is aging. To replace control board: Disconnect power and pull dryer away from wall. Take 2 black screws on the back off to remove the top lid. Remove 2 screws on top that hold the control interface on. This Maytag dryer was bought in 1985 if memory serves. It has worked hard with few repairs done by yours truly over the years. Thanks to the engineering and excellent design by Maytag staff, removing parts are relatively easy. Once I opened the unit, I found it to be full of lint. I cleaned the entire inside and the vent pipe duct work. I found the blower wheel assembly worn. I turned off the power then removed the six or so screws from the back of the top panel. I marked the two front wires on the latch with tape so I would not get them confused. I removed the two screws holding the latch on--these take a six pointed star bit on the screw driver--the bit is in most screw driver sets with interchangeable heads. I then connected the wires to the new latach and put everything back together. The whole process took between ten and fifteen minutes. Read more

We watched a YouTube video on how to replace the door latch. Very simple to do. We had to remove the metal band holding the door gasket to be able to access the latch. After removing the band, we pushed aside the gasket and removed the screws to the latch and the connecting cables. To install the new part, we just reversed the process. • Fridge too warm

Replaced the Thermistor Assembly and also picked up Overload Protection circuit per the comments posted by the "experts" on the web site. Both parts cheap enough. I ordered parts at 3:30 in the afternoon and they showed up the next morning from half way across the country. Outstanding service. It also fixed the 9 year old refrigerator. Replacing the parts took about a half hour most of which was moving the unit from the wall and removing the panel to get at the parts. Read more

First I check with Appliance Part Pros, watch videos how to access the parts I believe to be the problem. I love there videos and parts list of solutions to fix what it wrong. First I removed the washer from the laundry room and but it in the garage for more room to work on it. I removed the two screws and all the pieces that were broken. Went online to Appliance parts.com, searched for the part using the model number from the machine and ordered the part . part arrived in 2 days and with a Phillips screwdriver was installed in less than 5 minutes. Read more

I easily found the replacement part on the Appliance Parts Pros website and ordered (2), one for each end of the handle and yes it is the same part for either side. They showed up a few days later. I had seen a video of how to expose the handle screws behinf the door face. I backed out the appropriate (6) Torx screws and the front of the dishwasher door came right off exposing the handle screws. I asked them to give me the part numbers...at which point he said..."you won't find them"!
