I ran a diagnostics check on the washing machine and came up with the error code E47 -Board thinks the door PTC circuit is open in spin. It took a long time to determine the problem but eventually I discovered that the plastic bracket (latch hook) that held the three door-switches showed appreciable wear from repeated door openings and closings. This wear stopped the door from sealing properly and the door switch safety mechanism blew the line fuse. My dryer door would not stay shut because the door strike was stuck in the door catch. I was afraid that when I pulled the strike out, it would damage the catch, so I ordered the door strike and door catch. I got the damaged door strike out with needle nosed pliers in about 15 seconds. My new parts arrived in 2 days installed the parts put the drawer assembly back together closed the drawer all all is fine. I have another pedestal drawer under the washer all the same age so I ordered a spare fully knowing I will need it sooner or later. Read more

Replacing the cycle switch and the lid switch, resolved the issues! Our washer operates like new again. From receipt of the parts to the first wash. The replacement of the parts took less than 20 minutes! Savings over the purchase of a new washer dryer combo: $1700-2200! Read more

1) Ordered part. 2) Removed front panel by loosening the two screws at the bottom front. 3) Removed old Safety Switch/Lid Lock by disconnecting wires (plug and 2 female disconnects) 4) Reconnected all wires and reinstalled switch. 5) Replaced front panel. 6) Tested Unit. 7) FYI - I found that the locking mechanism stays locked until cycle completely finishes on its own. Walk into the kitchen on 21 Sep. Eight year old Frigidaire refrigerator appears to be short cycling, controls are nonfunctional. Unplug it for a few minutes, plug it back in, appears to return to normal function. Return to kitchen half hour 45 minutes later it's short cycling again.
