I watched the video on replacing the switch on a side freezer where prying out to original switch did not look difficult. I then got on the floor and tried to pry out my switch. I watched the Appliance Parts Pros repair video and decided to remove the front panel to diagnose the problem. While the repair video is excellent, I could not remove the ice/water dispenser front panel with a putty knife. On my model, 106.56234400, there is no clip that can be released by sliding a putty knife up under the front panel. The Ice Dispenser Drum is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool refrigerators. This drum is located in the ice maker assembly and is responsible for dispensing ice when activated. It rotates to push ice through the chute and into your glass or container.
Causes of a bad ice dispenser drum include wear and tear from regular use, damage from ice jams, or breakage due to accidental mishandling. Accumulation of ice and debris can also cause the drum to malfunction.

Took off the freezer door, took off the top hinge on the refrigerator door, replaced the handle, re-installed the top hinge and the freezer door. This is a two person job - one to remove the top hinge and replace the handle, while a second person holds the refrigerator door in place. Replacing the handle was easy. Fix was very easy, I ordered a replacement dual water inlet valve from appliance parts pros .com and waited just a few days for order to be received.
