Burned or damaged terminal block causing power loss? This connection point fixes arcing, sparking, and burnt wire issues. DIY repair with basic tools.
I determined the hidden bake element below the oven cavity was not working, because the bottom of the oven was cold during normal use. If you have a built-in microwave + oven combination (mine is KitchenAid Model No. KEMS308SSS05), this is a difficult repair. The engineer who designed this oven should be invited to succeed elsewhere. It is impossible to access the bake element from the inside of the oven, so the How To video associated with this part will not help you. I had to remove the... Read more

I'm a 56 year old divorced woman. I started doing these kinds of repairs to save some money and honestly, to see if I could. So yes, if I can do it, it's not that tough to do. My microwave is built in above the stove - getting it down and back up was the hardest part of the job. An extra pair of strong hands really helps-for anybody, not just a 56 year old woman. The actual repair was pretty easy. Most likely problem was pretty obvious after a little research. Easy to take off cover, get... Read more

Support ring sits beneath the glass turntable and allows smooth rotation during cooking. Replace if cracked, worn, or causing tray wobble or binding.
I removed the Shaft by just pulling up on it. I noticed the flat sided hole on the bottom of the Shaft was damaged and a small piece of it was missing. By using a mirror and a pair of tweezers, I was able to remove the small broken off piece of plastic from the hole in the middle of the bottom of the oven. The Shaft still would not turn the plate because of the damage. I ordered the new part and installed it, and everything now works fine. I decided to replace the Ring as well because the... Read more

Heating element not working? This mounting screw securely fastens the heating element in place. A simple DIY repair that takes about 20 minutes to complete.
We ordered the part and one extra screw(which we didn't end up using). If possible take door off your oven for easy access and have lighting source to see well. Taking part out was easy. Putting back in was more difficult because you have to match up two layers of parts in our oven. The broiler coil and the broiler shield above it. We used small craft clothes pins to keep wires from going behind the built in oven. We used a small diameter screw driver to match up holes before putting... Read more
