I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. Took out old element,got part number and look for the cheapest price online, Appliance Parts Pro could not be beat... order part be number, easy to match, came in fast and put in element, only needed a 5/16 nutdriver to take it out and put it in,unpluged wires and bent just a little to keep one on left and one right from getting mixed up and pluged up new element and ran in the 2 screws,easy job, dont get no easier.. I replaced all 3 remaining burner controls because they were all original (mid 1970s GE electric range w/coil burners), and one of the controls occasionally made arcing sounds when cycling the burner on and off. If a control is making odd noises - more than just a quiet metallic clicking as it cycles - it should be replaced. I ordered both hinges (if the nylon roller was bad on the left, it was probably going to go bad on the right side as well). The web site was easy to navigate, order process simple. Hinges arrived quickly. Slide the oven door up and off. unscrew the three screws for the hinge. You need to then pull up with some force (there is a big spring in there), and twist the hinge to get the last bit out. Move stove to unplug, remove rear center panel, indentify the two spade connectors that feed the heating element and remove (unplug) them. Remove two screws that hold the element to the inside rear wall of the stove and remove element. Install new element, plug in the previously removed spade connectors, re-install rear center panel, plug range (power) in, move stove back into place and enjoy. Read more
