Fan Blower
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB26X31060

The Fan Blower is an OEM part for GE ranges and wall ovens. This part helps to circulate air within the oven cavity. The fan blower ensures that heat is evenly distributed during cooking, contributing to consistent cooking results, and prevents the electronic components from overheating, which could lead to malfunctions or reduced lifespan of the appliance.

Causes of damage to the Fan Blower can include accumulation of debris and grease, which can obstruct the fan and strain the motor, and mechanical wear over time that affects the fan's efficiency.

Symptoms of a bad Fan Blower in a range include:

  • The oven not cooking evenly
  • Overheating of the range's electronic control panel
  • Unusual noises, such as rattling or buzzing

This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Cooling fan burned up.   Ira W. • Grantsville , UT • April 01, 2020

I had to take the top panels off and two back panels off. Took off about thirty screws. It was very dirty and dusty inside so I took the lower panels off as well to clean and vacuum it. The hardest part was getting the double oven out of the cabinet. Overall it was very doable. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You F97 code on GE jk3500sf6ss double oven.   John O. • Las Vegas , NV • September 13, 2020

You will need a Philips screwdriver, nut driver, and star drivers for this repair. Cordless drill recommended. TURN OFF THE CIRCUIT BREAKER BEFORE STARTING!!! You'll need to disassemble the cord cap before pulling the unit. Take a picture to remember which wires are connected to which terminals. Placed a blanket on the floor for protection and mobility. Removed cooking racks and both doors, then pulled the oven, which is the hardest part to do alone. It's a heavy unit. Once on the blanket I... Read more

Board Fan Sensor
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB27T11463

The Cooling Fan Sensor Board is an OEM component for GE ovens and ranges. It is an electronic module connected to the main control board that monitors internal temperatures. An onboard thermistor sensor in the board regulates the convection fan relay and fan motor speed based on heating demands during the bake and broil functions.

Causes of a failed Cooling Fan Sensor Board can include moisture damage from spills or steam, faulty soldering connections, or manufacturing defects over time. Electronic components are also susceptible to normal wear from frequent heating cycles.

Symptoms of a bad board fan sensor include:

  • Inconsistent or improper temperature control not maintaining set oven temperatures
  • Issues with selected convection bake or broil modes not activating properly
  • Abnormal fan speeds that do not correlate with heating element operation

It is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and KitchenAid wall ovens and range models using the same electronic control system.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You GE double oven f97 code.   Jack H. • Meadville , MS • May 04, 2020

The first attempt was to replace the sensor board on the lower cooling fan motor. That didn’t fix the problem. Next, I replaced the lower cooling fan. The oven is working correctly for now. Time will tell. The repair is fairly simple. 1. Pulled oven out of wall onto a platform that I built to be the same height as the bottom of the oven. 2. Took off the bottom back cover as well as the middle cover. I also had to take off a couple of pieces on the left side where the fan is. 3.... Read more

Wall Oven Door Window Glass
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB56T10351

Replacement inner door window glass for wall ovens. Restores clear viewing and heat containment when original glass is cracked, shattered, or clouded.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Shattered inner glass   Phil H. • Roanoke , TX • May 10, 2019

Incredibly simple. There were a few videos on-line but not for our oven. So I just went at it from the back side incrementally removing screws and panels to get to the glass. The only misstep was removing the 4 screws for the hinges which didn’t have to come off. Hardest part was cleaning up the shattered glass. The metal frame that holds both pieces of inner glass has a couple of tabs that need bent out with pliers to get the new glass in, then reversed to retain it. Read more

Cooling Fan
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB26T10066

This cooling fan circulates air through the oven's control compartment and vent path to keep electronics and surrounding surfaces at safe temperatures during and after cooking. Replacing a failing fan helps prevent overheating, shutdowns, and error messages. What it does:

  • Draws cooling air across the control area and out the vent to manage internal temperatures
  • Protects control boards, wiring, and trim from heat buildup
  • Typically runs during use and continues after the oven is turned off to remove residual heat
  • Common symptoms of failure: fan not running, slow or intermittent operation, loud squealing/grinding, control panel area becoming excessively hot, or cooling-fan-related error codes/shutdowns
What's included:
  • 1 cooling fan
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker and allow the appliance to cool completely before servicing
  • Access location varies by model (often behind the rear cover or upper panel)
  • Note wire positions and fan rotation/airflow direction; transfer any mounting brackets or seals from the original part if required
  • After installation, ensure the fan spins freely and verify airflow at the vent during operation

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Oven door wouldn't close tightly new hinges didn't fix the problem   Paul S. • East Wenatchee , WA • October 26, 2020

All of the information on the web repair sites said "replace the hinges as the springs are worn out." Didn't fix the problem. The top of the door still wouldn't seal, and the. Leaning latch wouldn't catch the door unless you pressed on the door. The inside panel of the door was fatigued. Too many turkeys were set on the door over the years. The hinges are attached to that inside panel, so the stress points were bent over time. I replaced the inside steel panel. Took about an hour. Was able... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Faulty self cleaning latch   Gregory K. • Bel Air , MD • December 28, 2016

Replaced faulty latch with new latch. New latch was different configuration, but the fit was okay. The only issue was that the wires to the electric motor were just barely long enough. Overall easy repair if you have a T15 Torx bit, phillips screwdriver, and 1/4" nut driver. Hardest part is removing the gas cooktop to gain access to the cleaning latch. 0. Turn off electric to stove; remove the cast iron grates, center caps/orifices, and catch pans from the stovetop. 1. Disconnect the... Read more
