I have order three parts, guide filter, cover guide, and sensor assembly. My previous cover guide was from two parts, when sensor assembly was one of them. New part ( guide cover ) was all in one piece so I just transfer old metal part of sensor to new cover guide and I don't need that sensor assembly anymore. I have ordered all three parts overnight by Fedex, ordered 15 min before 5pm, so next day it was here. Dryer is fixed, I'm happy. Read more

This was actually one of the easiest fixes I’ve done. All that was required was to remove 3 screws to remove the broken part. I used a pair of pliers to remove the moisture sensors from the broken part to the new one. Read more

Our Kenmore (Whirlpool) refrigerator's ice maker had stopped making ice. I searched YouTube and found a repair videos for this exact problem, finding one with a similar refrigerator and the identical ice maker. I learned that the Water Inlet Valve had likely gone bad and would need to be replaced. Tried CLR to remove hard water deposits. That did not help. Ordered new dispenser. The GE series that the detergent module fits in was a little difficult to open. Finally found a video explaining the whole door had to come off in order to open it up to replace the module. Works great now. Read more

• Will not dispense detergent

Process was a bit more complicated than the videos I had watched online. Had to remove both front panel and control panel to get to soap dispenser. Removed wires to soap dispenser and rinse aide dispenser. Removed wire "harness" around the top and right side of dispenser. Pried back the clips to allow dispenser to be pushed out. It was helpful to have another person to hold the door open at this point. Bent clips back and reinstalled everything. New part works great. Read more

I ordered the French door housing, the new piece has a solid raised curved part that enters the guide, and a new center hinge. I watched both repair videos shown on appliance parts Pro. It looked pretty simple, so I got my 2 screw drivers and unplugged the refrigerator and started. The hardest part was removing the upper and lower hinges. My husband expected we needed a new dishwasher but I insisted on trying to fix it first. You need a Torx screwdriver so make sure you have a set. A little difficult to get cover back on and lined up by myself, but I managed and this was my first attempt at major appliance repair. I replaced the entire console and the dispenser. Still working after 3 loads so my husband may have to eventually admit that I fixed it. Read more

The dryer is 10 years old. I replaced all 4 roller wheels. While I had it apart I also replaced the drive belt and the idler pulley assembly. Once I had it apart I did find 2 wheels that were very worn, (1 front, 1 back) which is what I believe the problem was as they were also very hard to spin. Dryer works like new now.
