1st. replaced thermostat probe inside wall oven - no change. Then removed range heating element and measured it with ohm meter for continuity and found it to be OPEN. Ordered replacement range heating element; measured it before install and found it to be a few ohms - installed in less than 5 minutes and tested. ALL WORKS GREAT. Both items purchased with shipping were just over $100. (I chose to keep the thermostat probe instead of returning it being the oven is just over 10 years old). Read more

I followed troubleshooting guide and repair videos offered on website, ordered replacement oven control board and reinstalled unit using only a 1/4 inch nut driver. Easy fix for do it yourselfer in 15-20 minutes. Make certain to have model number of appliance when ordering. Parts are somewhat pricey but AppliancePartsPros. were much more reasonable than local parts supply houses or other sources plus they offered 1 year replacement even on electrical stuff. Read more

One day my wife went to bake something and the bake/broil buttons as well as #3, #9, and oven light ceased to work. Local repair guy came by and wanted to charge $500 to fix it....YEAH RIGHT! I replaced the old control panel with a new one. I also changed out the door seal to help prevent the control panel from going bad a second time. It was the heat from the oven getting to the keypad on the control panel that caused it to go bad. Read more

Ordered Bake Element, Y04100019 (Whirlpool AP4283614) to replace a broken bake element on my 30-year old Jenn-Air Model S125 Downdraft Slide-in electric range. Received the element very quickly but it had been damaged in shipping. Called AppliancePartsPros to report this and they quickly shipped another element - very easy process. Troubleshot the oven by checking the broiler which worked good (same fuel valve). After reading the some tips about troubleshooting the Glow Ignitor I could see the broiler ignitor got white hot and the oven ignitor only got bright orange (orange to red causes intermittent ignition or mini explosions). Watched the how to video and it was good information. You should be observant about which openings in the back of the oven as to where the two wires are coming out of. My oven is over 12 years... Removed 3 screws on top of door, 3 screws on bottom if door which released glass front. Then removed 4 nuts on sheet metal window cover to get to window. To get to the broken glass there was one tab on the corner of the window frame that had to be bent upward to loosen the frame. Removed the broken glass, slid in the new glass, re tightened the frame and put everything back together. Turn off 2-ploe breaker to oven, pulled the element out for access to the wires, turn the breaker back on and found voltage to the element, but wouldn't heat up. Replaced the element and works perfect. I also replaced the oven racks since (someone, not me) forgot to remove when they cleaned the oven last time, what a difference that makes just sliding in and out easily Read more
