Thermador Range / Cooktop / Oven Parts

Replaced both ignitors. Since I was working on the range I also overhauled the final 2 of the 6 burners on the stove top. Venturi tube and jet nuts were frozen and could not remove drip tray for cleaning and access to ignitor clip. Had to drill out Venturi tubes using a tapered bore bit. Used Dremmel with cutting wheel to remove jet nut. This range has been heavily used since new for 16 years. Works like new, again. Read more

I had to cut out the venturi with one of those vibrating tools with a narrow metal blade like a hack saw. Takes time and wear your ear plugs . I had two different repair guys here they both said I need a new range . It's 15 years old and 9 grand to replace it. No No . I'll fix it and I did . Read more

First I checked both spark igniters (range has two ovens) by testing them on the oven that did work. Both were good. I then checked the spark igniter wiring & it was good. At this point I contacted Appliance Parts Pros to ask which spark module I should order, the problem was that there wasn't a model number on the appliance. After speaking to the rep I ordered the ignition devise pictured above. Installed it and it worked! Read more

The oven was not heating, and there was no gas flow to the oven or spark. I replaced the spark igniter, but that did not fix it, so the problem was either the ignition device or the oven bake solenoid. In order to get to them, I had to cut the venturi tubes which hold down the burner rings with a Dremel tool, which was easy enough. There is no other way to get these tubes out if they are stiff or seized as you will simply twist the gas supply line to the burner if you try to rotate the nut.... Read more

Not having any local Thermador support I took the advise from KC on the repair forum. The repair consisted of removing and replacing the control and relay board. The hardest part of the job was working behind the stove while it was pulled from the wall. ( didn't want to scratch my floor ). Over all the repair was simple just pulling wires from old board and installing on new board. The directions sent with the parts are excellent and easy for anyone to follow. Our appliance repairman said he would order a new burner cap. We waited 7 months; each time we called he said it was on order. After having to cook Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners on 3 burners we gave up and ordered the part ourselves. Replaced potentiometers, simmer control unit, and 2 solenoids. Could have been a fairly easy project, except 1 of the venturi's had "seized" preventing even the removal of the range top. After attempting to use an "easy out", which failed, I had to drill out the brass venturi, destroying it, and the jet assembly below. Once the range top was removed, the rest of the repair went well. Replaced the display board and put in a new gasket to prevent the heat from escaping the oven and eventually "cooking" the display board. New parts worked perfectly and were easy to install, just had to keep track of a few screws and cables, nothing to it otherwise. Shipping was insanely fast- I ordered on a Friday afternoon, chose their standard shipping, and my parts were delivered the next day- Saturday morning- by 9am. My oven was working again by 10am.
