Latch motor assembly was bad Gary G. • Mason City , IA • July 17, 2015
After getting error code and doing a bit of research, I decided to order the part and replace myself. Part took about three days to get. With the help of a instructional video online, I took my Kenmore Elite gas stove top apart. Other than removing stubborn screws, the latch motor was an easy fix.

Needed water pump and lid switch Joe N. • Palmdale , CA • November 16, 2019
I utilized your videos. The pump video implied if the leak was ignored? You would have to cut the pump off, which was what I did. The impeller also had to be cut down to the plastic collar on the motor shaft, which I used a handheld chop grinder to get through the plastic collar without damaging the shaft, because of the neglect on the leak the motor shaft had to be filed and sandpapered to accept the new pump. The harness clips on the lid switch were difficult to get to but I managed without...

Part Number: 5304470548
The Latch is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire built-in microwaves. Securely mounted to the top interior section of the microwave cavity door, the positive-locking latch holds the door safely shut during operation. Crafted from corrosion-resistant materials for extended use, the latch handle withdraws the hook mechanism with a simple pull to conveniently access food within.
Symptoms of a bad latch include:
- The microwave door popping or falling open unexpectedly
- Difficulty closing or fully engaging the secure latch hook
- Wear signs like loose mounting points or a worn handle
Causes can involve repeated opening/closing cycles gradually loosening mounting fixtures, or parts rendered ineffective by moisture intrusion over time.
Replacing this Frigidaire OEM latch prevents potential microwave door opening during cooking cycles. Compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore built-in models.

Led segments dying on the display + error f95 code when using the oven Robert L. • Massena , NY • December 14, 2014
I replaced the controller to remedy the LED display issue and changed the motor latch assembly to fix the F95 error. The installation of both parts was very easy. A local repair shop wanted a minimum of $115 just to show-up at my door, and their price for the same parts was over $140 what I paid at AppliancePartsPros. Thanks.
