Kirk P Des Moines , IA October 10, 2014 Appliance: Model MAYTAG DG412 First look 2nd look 3rd look success!!!!! When I first looked at my dryer I thought it was my ignitor, on a closer look I found that about an inch of my burner assembly arm was laying in a corroded mess on the bottom pan of my dryer. I came online and found your website. After reviewing your parts I thought well I can probably get those local and with competive pricing. Wrong!! There are 3 appliance parts stores withing about 3 miles and I checked them all. Higher prices by 25-35% and longer wait times than your advertised delivery times. Came home and ordered my part on Saturday night, parts were shipped on Monday am at my door on Tues afternoon. Very easy install much easier than your video my dryer is 30 years old. Every repairman who has been here has said this model is simple and very long lasting worth repairing. Problem tube did not solve the problem and I shattered my brand new ignitor when it dropped about 1/4 inch on the arm to the top of the dryer..my old ignitor looked good so on it went. Since my problem was not resolved I stewed and came on and talked online to first Danny who walked me through testing my sensors and when they came up reading ok Brent brought up the gas coils as the probable cause and I ordered them. I also told Brent about my igniter issue and after getting some additional info another was on its way and 1 day later in my hands. My older dryer version I popped the front laid on the floor reached in and had the coils replaced and the dryer running 15 minutes later. Guys are great..they make this work for a novice like myself. prices and delivery make it a winning combination. The appliance people could probably take some lessons. Keep up the good work and Thanks. Oh yeah no service call so my parts delivery was less than a call!! Ron M Gig Harbor , WA August 25, 2015 Appliance: Model MAYTAG LDG9334AAE Gas dryer would start and ignite but only for one minute and then stop heating Burned out burner assembly distorted flame so much as to heat up the high limit thermostat safety switch to the off position. Replaced both burner and switch. Very easy and fast (under 15 minutes). Hardest and most time consuming part was finding the 2 hidden screws that held the front panel on the dryer. Once found, only a one minute job to remove panel. No one on youtube apparently had encountered this model of dryer before ( 1990's Maytag). Easy fix and under $80. Good"how to" video. Richard G Brookfield , WI February 07, 2015 Appliance: Model MAYTAG MODEL DG482 My 1987 maytag gas clothes dryer's burner would short cycle on/off on/off on/off After bypassing and or testing several parts on the machine, I noticed that the burner tube was sending part of the flame to the top of the flame tunnel where a high limit thermostat was located. By removing and examining the burner tube, I noticed a crack at the end of it. Which allowed part of the flame to curl up in the wrong direction. Thus the high limit thermostat was doing it's job and shutting down the gas valve. Replacing the burner assembly fixed the problem. Bob R Two Riviers , WI January 02, 2020 It wouldn't always ignite. The burner tube was rusted and separated from its mount. It was a dangerous condition with the other end ready to fall.off the gas orifice. I replaced the burner assembly. Also noticed a loud vibration. Found the hub worn and loose on the blower wheel. Awhile back the gas valve solenoid coils were not always opening the valve, so I ordered them too. Read More...
