This is a translucent ring that acts as a light guide around the cycle selector knob on the dryer control panel. It channels light from an indicator LED to illuminate the selected cycle position. Replace this ring if the backlight around the knob no longer illuminates evenly or appears dim despite the LED functioning properly.
