I replaced the hinges, which involved removing the door by opening it all the way, inserting a small allen wrench into the locking pin hole on each of the two hinges, partially closing the door and pulling it toward me. I then laid the door stainless steel face up on a table, removed the 8 screws from the edge and pulled the bottom of the face up and toward me. Replaced both hinges... simple repair, took about 20 minutes. My only issue is that I replaced these hinges a year and a half ago to repair the same problem. Seems like Whirlpool could have designed a better door. Read more

So after receiving my 2 door hinges, 2 days before est. delivery . All I had to do is take the oven door off, and then remove 4 screws to take the door apart, 4more screws to remove old hinges, replace w/new reassemble and put door back on oven, all in about 40 min. works like new again, Thanks for everything. Called repairman who said he could not fix it, which I did not believe. Read about issue on line and confirmed the issue to be hinges when disassembled. Ordered, easy replacement, and door works perfect. Did not use backing plates, but likely not worth returning due to freight. Great service by your team. Read more

I was able to order new hinge receiver brackets for the door. The repair was not that bad. I just had to take off the lower door, take the two trim pieces off the sides and unscrew the screws holding the oven into the face of the cabinet. Then slide it out about halfway and put a step stool under the front to keep it from tipping over. Then it was just a matter of taking off everything around the sides until I could take the brackets off, put the new brackets on, and put everything back... Read more

Took off the door. Found that one of the Hinges was bent. Replaced the hinge and the door works perfectly. Pretty easy replacement - there were a total of 8 screws to take off and on. Pretty straight forward once you get the door off the oven! Read more

The little flip-over locks on my oven door hinges were bent and broken, preventing me from removing the oven door. It took a little bit of searching to determine that my oven purchased from Ikea was actually built by Whirlpool, and finally what were the correct part numbers for both hinges. A you tube video helped in removing the oven door. After removing the screws, though, the top did not separate. Since I could lift the bottom up enough to get the old door hinges out and put the new ones in, I closed it back and put the screws back in. There was an issue in screw in two of the screws on the bottom of the door. They would not screw all the way in and are about 1/8 inch out. Ordered a new left side hinge from appliancepartspros.com and it arrived overnight although I paid for standard shipping only. Replaced the left side hinge which was visibly misshapen and damaged. Followed video instructions on U-tube to remove the oven door and hinge, installed new hinge, reassembled and re-installed door. It works like a champ now! About a 45 minute repair and I work slowly.
