After watching numerous videos I was able to discern that the problem was with one of the following: the timer, the heater, or the thermostat. a short time check showed me that the timer was working so that narrowed it down to the other two. I'm way too lazy to go to a store and look at a gigantic wall of light bulbs. So I poured a glass of wine, googled the make and model of my refrigerator followed by "lightbulb" and this bulb came up. Used a muiltimeter to test all parts and ohm'ed out all parts. found out condenser fan motor seized up [open winding in motor] replaced that, and found that also caused the compressor overload and relay to fail, from over heating and over cycling, replaced both parts, powered up the refrigerator retested all electrical parts checked amp reading on all parts under load conditions,works good know, hope to get another 15 years out of this refrigator, its a maytag. over 20 years old. Temporarily stuck a BMW lug bolt through the bracket and pivot opening to secure the door on the base, then waited just 3 days for the exact parts to come in from AppliancePros. Searching for the appliance model number brought me to the Appliance Pros website where finding the exact parts was quick and easy. I had a problem with the drain pump on my Kenmore HE3 and I replaced it using a drain pump I ordered from APP. That fixed that problem but once I started running the washer I started getting a FH error code. I looked it up and found that it was a problem with the washer not filling properly. I pulled the washer out and found that one of the fill hoses had kinked when I pushed the washer back in place. There was also some writing on the hose that read "Change hose every five years".
