This is the rinse aid dispenser assembly that mounts inside the dishwasher door and automatically releases rinse aid during the final rinse cycle. It helps prevent water spots and streaking on dishes by reducing surface tension on the water. Replace this part if rinse aid leaks prematurely, the dispenser cap won't stay closed, or your dishes come out spotted despite having rinse aid in the reservoir.
