Refrigerator was not cooling, but was continuously runing & freezer compartment was extremely cold. Determined that fan assembly that takes freezer air & circulates to the refrigerator didn't seem to be working. Determined that the fan assembly motor was not rotating. Easily found replacement on AppliancePartsPro.com. Received the part quickly (Impressive delivery time!). I ordered a new handle from Applisnce Parts Pros. It fit the refrigerator perfectly. I reused some of the old screws and ordered one new screw with a cover to attach the bottom of the handle. Now the refrigerator looks as good as new! Read more

Replaced both primary and secondary water valves to make sure I fixed the problem. Both valves have to open when you function the water dispenser and when the ice maker tray needs refilling. YouTube video was a great help and let me know that I had to lengthen one hose. The video showed me the exact parts I needed to lengthen the hose. Ice buildup inside the freezer was caused by warm air beneath the freezer contacting cold air from inside the freezer the resulting condensation freezing and blocking the drain, causing the ice buildup inside. The right door on our Jenn Air French Door Refrigerator would pop open & not fully close when the left door was closed first. Called the local distributor/dealer who advised me that the magnetic door gasket probably needed replacement (cost $300.00 + for the repair) What??? Evaporator fan was loud and eventually quit. This allowed the freezer temp to rise above 18 deg. which they activated the PF code. Replacing the evaporator fan motor fixed the problems. Read more

I found a video/tutorial on how to take it apart to see what was pieces were broken, then ordered the replacement parts and watched the video to put it back together again. Read more

After watching a few videos on this site and on You Tube it seemed like the most likely culprits were the starter and the capacitor. I found them easily behind the back panel near the compressor and easily unplugged them. I found the part numbers on this site and ordered them. After a 5 minute installation the compressor came back to life, and my 10 year old refrigerator has a new lease on life. Read more

• Freezer not defrosting

I had had the same problem 4 or 5 years ago and spent close to $200 to repair it. I did have the slip from that repair with part #'s so I went ahead and ordered a defrost timer and thermostat. You-tube had plenty of videos on replacing those parts and even before they arrived I was able to add a switch and bypass the broken thermostat and start a cycle manually with the timer.
