I wasn't sure if it would be easier to repair or replace, I went to google and found Appliance Pro and while finding the parts I needed, there were helpful videos on how to install.. So I took the chance and ordered parts, still a little nervous about how this whole process was going to work. Overall the fix wasn't too hard. The challenge was putting the oven door back together and holding it together while trying to tighten the screws. Enlisted my wife's help to hold the door and at first the handle screws wouldn't tighten. My cordless screwdriver's battery was under-charged. Once I switched batteries I was able to tighten the screws. Seemed like I needed to push too hard (my wife freaked "not so hard you will strip them!") however pushing hard was what was needed. • Door won't open or close

The replacement hinge unit arrived in just two days. The JennAire (Maytag) oven door is fairly typical in that it easily lifts off of the hinge bars. Once the door is off then removing two screws is all that's required to remove the hinge unit from the oven. The new hinge slides up into place and while you hold it up inside of its location putting the old screws back in is very easy. I was able to clean the Oven Temp Sensor with 99% alcohol. Then replaced All switches (after breaker was isolated). Put it all back the way I found it. Turned on breaker. Tested all functions and had no reports of Fan Code re-appearing since. Read more

In an attempt to clean the range from the grease-gunk build-up, I had to remove the burner heads. Unfortunately, the 2 most used burner heads had immovable screws that locked them into the orifices underneath. After numerous hours in attempts to salvage the old burner heads and orifices attempting to remove the immovable screws, I gave up. Checked Maytag's website for parts and found nothing. • Door won't open after self cleaning cycle

I knew the door latch was suppose to lock for self clean and it wasn't, so I took the back off and after tracing out wires and the linkage to the door latch, determined that it was a faulty motor on the latch lock. I got on line and Appliance Parts Pros was the first place that I found the part. I was surprised that it wasn't real expensive, but I kept looking for a cheaper price only to come back to order it from APP.
