The Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve is an OEM part for Bosch dishwashers that is responsible for controlling the flow of water into the dishwasher at the start of each wash cycle. The water inlet valve opens to allow water to enter the dishwasher and then closes to ensure the correct amount of water is used during the cycle.
Symptoms of a bad Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve include:
Causes of a bad water inlet valve can vary from mineral buildup from hard water, which can block the valve, to mechanical failure or wear and tear over time. Electrical issues can also affect the valve's operation, preventing it from opening or closing properly.
This OEM Bosch part can also be used on Thermador and Gaggenau appliances.
Leak was slow but becoming gradually worse. Pulled dishwasher out from under counter then visually inspected sump while it ran. As soon as the water got very hot, I could see the sump leaking where it meets the stainless pan. Searched for the correct sump gasket without success. Turns out that the gasket is built into the sump for this model. The built-in gasket is very narrow (under-engineered IMHO which is probably why it developed a leak). The Float Assembly is an OEM part for Bosch dishwashers. This part prevents water from overfilling and potentially leaking onto the kitchen floor. Causes of a bad float assembly can vary from debris or buildup restricting the float's movement, damage to the float mechanism, or issues with the float switch itself.
Symptoms of a malfunctioning Float Assembly include:
This genuine OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau and select Kenmore models.
This was not my first rodeo have repaired our appliances and those of our daughters for years, have ordered parts from this site several times. We had a cold spell in Texas, as you may have heard. We weathered it okay but left the dishwasher closed on one of the colder nights, woke up to water on the floor in the kitchen. Turned off the supply line, shut off the dishwasher power, bailed out the bottom, and mopped up. Had a fair idea of what the cause was, checked a few websites, watched some... Read more
