I replaced the burner head. I turned off power to the stove, although I did not turn off the gas. I gave the old burner head a slight twist counter-clockwise until it lifted off the stove. I used the pliers to pull the wires from the old burner, then placed them onto the contacts on the new burner. Set it in place, and gave it a clockwise twist until it was snug. • Door won't close

My dryer door would not stay shut because the door strike was stuck in the door catch. I was afraid that when I pulled the strike out, it would damage the catch, so I ordered the door strike and door catch. I got the damaged door strike out with needle nosed pliers in about 15 seconds. I replaced the large surface element first before examining the switch. In hindsight I probably only need to replace the large surface switch. Once I open the back of the control area of the stove the blacked switch and wire made in obvious that the trouble was in the connection and switch. Luckily, I had a new contact to rewire the wiring as the old was burnt badly. After cutting it out and connecting a new one and replacing the switch the problem was fixed. Read more

Removing was easy. Pull out the ends of the seal, the ends aren't locked in. Then, pull up on each retaining clip. Each clip is held in with spring tension. Reinstallation was easy too. Start on one end, Twist frayed end into cone-like shape and insert into one of the holes for the seal. Push in with a skewer/screwdriver. Insert first clip into the first hole.
