I did a search online for inner door glass replacement pieces and came across a youtube video made by appliance parts pros. After watching the video, I was certain that this was a repair I could do myself. I ordered the glass and it arrived the next afternoon. That evening, I brought the video up on my computer, gathered a screwdriver, some gloves and a towel to lay the door on when I put it on the table. I am plagiarizing some info from the techs.. 1. Turn off the electrical supply to the range. 2. Primarily, removed oven door. Be cognizant of how you disassembled ... Very important when you reassemble ! By-the-way,this was ALL PRECIPITATED by wanting to clean the interior side of oven door glass after my wife self-cleaned the oven! How in-the-world did grease get there in the first place!? We found a video on how to change out the glass and looked fairly easy. My husband, being the skeptic that he is, wasn't on board as readily as I was but we tried it regardless. To his surprise in about 30 minutes we did it! So easy and a big thanks to Appliances Parts Pros for the part. We had the new part in 1 1/2 days...I was expecting it to be delivered in 5 days! The whole process from choosing the piece to receiving the piece to installing the piece was super easy. How did I fix it? Lol, watched the video that the bride found on-line, then she ordered the part, which came by FedEx the next day - Pulled the door off the oven for yucks the day I watched the video - then put it back on figuring it would take a while for the part to come. Once the part came, went to take off the door again - unfortunately gripped the door too close to the hinge (might want to add that caution to your video) - took some time out to go to the local urgent care facility to get... Dis-assembled the door(not easy), thoroughly cleaned the glass and screen, re-assembled the door and replaced the seal tape. Looks good. Would look better if the seal tape hadn't come in with some creases in it. But it is acceptable. Read more
