This bake element is the oven heating element that provides the lower radiant heat for baking. It replaces a failed or damaged 240-volt element to help restore even baking performance and proper oven heat. What it does:

• Heats the oven cavity during bake cycles by producing the required radiant heat.
• Replaces a burned-out or visibly damaged element that won't glow, causing little or no heat.
• Helps correct uneven baking when the original element is blistered, broken, or has open electrical continuity.
• Intended for use in 240V household ovens.
