This is a gas valve that controls the flow of gas to a surface burner on a gas range. It connects to the burner control knob and regulates the flame from high to low settings. Replace this valve if a burner won't ignite, the flame is uneven or won't adjust properly, or you detect a gas smell when the knob is in the off position. Includes mounting screw.
