Fix a washer that won't drain or makes whining sounds with this pump and motor assembly. Common causes: debris lodged in pump or burned-out motor.
When I removed a bunch of very wet soaking towels at the end of a wash cycle, it was clear that the water was not draining properly. The washer also made a very loud noise during the water drain period. That was suspicious. I ordered the part, opened the washer, removed the old pump and faced with a nasty surprise. You may laugh at this, but there was a toothpick in the old drain pump! most of it was still there, and it seemed like the toothpick was stuck in the pump in such a position that it... Read more
Washer won't spin or agitate? Humming motor or clothes staying wet often means a failed drive motor. This repair typically takes 15-60 minutes with basic tools.

I ordered the motor from AppliancePartsPros.com after a google search for "best price model # 134159500 Drive motor " The part arrived in 5 days, and it took about 15 minutes to remove the old motor and replace it with the new one. Washer won't start, shows error codes, or cycles randomly? The main control board manages all wash functions. Moderate DIY repair with careful handling.
After first doing a Google/YouTube search, There was only one "hit" on my search results. Next I went to an appliance message board forum but after almost a week and more than a dozen views, no response was received. This is unusual. I've been on this board before with positive results. They also changed the "rules" for DIYers which could explain why I didn't have a lot of response from the experts. I attempted to get the unit into diagnostics mode. I was unable to clear the E90 "general... Read more

After doing online research about this particular error code I found www.appliancepartspros.com. On the site I searched my washing machine's model number and I found the correct part (in my case, it was the main control board) at a discounted price. I figured that with their no hassle return policy it was a no brainer trying to replace the part myself. The process went fairly smooth. If you're replacing this part yourself, be sure to disconnect your machine from the power outlet first to avoid... Read more

The repair guy told me if I have him fix it I should just buy a new one. I like my washer and dryer because it's a combo and takes up little space so I decided to fix it myself. Not sure if I got lucky but appliance parts pros had a video with almost my exact washer which made repair very easy. Read more
This is the lower access panel, also called a toe panel, that attaches to the front bottom of the washer. It covers the internal components beneath the drum area and provides a finished appearance. Replace this panel if it is dented, cracked, rusted, or if the mounting tabs are broken, leaving the lower portion of the machine exposed.
Watched the video a few times for door boot seal replacement. It was a lot of help! The spring is the hardest to replace and I did enlist the help of my wife. Everything went back on great. If you have to replace the front panel (with the buttons) be mindful that the buttons are spring loaded and will come out. I did not lose any and it went back together just fine. A little touch up paint on the washer and it all looks brand new and works great. And the parts came in quicker than... Read more
