This tapping pan-head screw secures interior panels and components in appliances, providing a low-profile head and threads that form into metal for a firm hold. It's a direct-fit fastener for repairs and replacements. What it does
- Fastens panels, brackets and small appliance components where a self-tapping screw is required
- Pan-head profile gives a flush, low-profile finish that resists snagging
- Threads cut into mating metal to create a secure attachment without a nut
- Commonly used where sheet-metal or thin-frame fastening is needed
What's included
- One tapping pan-head screw
Install notes
- Use the correct screwdriver bit that matches the screw recess to avoid stripping
- Start in a pilot hole or with light initial pressure to ensure proper thread formation
- Tighten until snug; do not over-torque — overtightening can strip threads or deform panels
- Wear eye protection when working with metal fasteners and sheet metal
