When our turntable stopped rotating, I would hear a clicking sound each time I used our microwave, like something was not properly engaging in order to turn the glass tray. Even though our microwave was 10 years old, everything else worked fine. Unplug your microwave. Took the screws off of the bottom of the unit with it still on the cabinet. The whole bottom panel swung down to expose the turntable motor. I took the power cable loose (just pull it off). It was one screw to take the motor out. Word to the wise: DON'T try to take the plastic coupler off before the motor. Their is a tab that holds it in while the motor is in place. If you pry it up you will break it, trust me. ;) Turn the motor out of its housing and it come right out.... Read more

I ordered the replacement motor. I unplugged the microwave. Then I simply removed the turntable spindle by lifting it up off the motor from inside the microwave. Next, I removed the 7 screws holing the bottom of the microwave in place. I lowered the bottom of the microwave, giving me access to the motor. I unplugged the two wires connected to the motor, removed the 2 screws holding the motor in place, then put the new motor in place and reversed the steps to complete the job. Read more

I replaced the motor by removing 5 screws from the bottom of the microwave and 1 screws from the motor. Very easy to replace, I didn't even have to remove it from the wall (I unplugged it just in case). Read more

Ordered the turntable motor. Removed the bottom panel of the microwave to gain access, removed the old motor and replaced it with the new one. Easy peasy! Read more

I opened up the microwave where the noise was coming from. I searched the web to confirm this part could be failing and found the part name and number on appliancepartspros.com. I ordered the part on Monday and it was in my mailbox 2 days later. Two screws and two wire connectors later and the old one was out. I installed the replacement part and everything worked great, no more grinding noise. Read more

I took the advice of another buyer and replaced the magnetron, capacitor, and diode from my microwave (make sure you discharge the capacitor). It was not a problem at all to do, I did find an excellent video on YouTube on how to test all of these components and almost anything else in a microwave. Ordered the new motor and upon arrival, installed it. The only concern I had was that the motor I ordered was not specified for this model (Panasonic), but for a General Electric. (I could not locate one specified for the model I had). However, the specs for the new GE motor were exactly the same, so I took a chance and as it turned out, worked out well. Read more

Replaced the upper door microswitch which was stuck in. Easy to identify even without a meter. Needed a special secure bit for screws on back. Hardest part was probably removing the oven from cabinet mount. Read more

The microwave was shutting off after operating fine for a minute or two. Found that the fan that cools the magnetron had its fan blade assembly spinning free on the fan motor's output shaft. Tried to epoxy the two and failed. Ordered a new fan assembly and it is fixed. Read more
