I removed the fan from inside the hood which was much easier to do that expected since only one screw needed to be removed. It took two of us to get this double drum fan lowered. 1) Unscrewed the metal pieces behind the switch panel. You'll notice 3 screws. Afterwards, I realized that I just needed to remove the screws to the left and right of the switch box.
