This dryer motor is the drive motor assembly that turns the drum and powers the blower so clothes tumble and air circulates. Replacing a worn motor restores normal tumbling and airflow for effective drying. What it does:

• Spins the dryer drum so clothes tumble during operation
• Powers the blower wheel to move air through the dryer and vent
• Failsafe symptoms: dryer won't tumble, tumbles slowly, or stops mid-cycle
