The Transformer is an OEM part for GE gas cooktops. This component is responsible for converting electrical power to the necessary voltage required for the cooktop's ignition system to function correctly.
Replace this transformer if it fails to supply the proper voltage, leading to ignition issues. Common causes of a bad transformer include electrical surges, overheating, or normal wear and tear over time.
Symptoms of a bad Gas Cooktop Transformer include:
- Burners not igniting or taking longer to ignite
- Clicking sound without ignition
- No power to the ignition system
- Flickering or inconsistent burner flames
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
