I read alot of blogs about the same similar symptom, but none described by exact problem. I kept reading how the compressor relay would make a click noise or sisal. I also found out the overload switch could cause a like symptom. The end result being that upon removal of the relay, it was discolored and made a rattling noise when shook. Ordered new timer and replaced. very easy. 2 screws, 4 wires with push on connectors. had to tip fridge back and put 2x4 under to make room to remove and replace timer took maybe 10 minutes Read more

Replaced with OEM replacement seal. Watched video on appliance parts pro which showed the proper process to remove the old seal and install a new seal. Surprisingly, it was very quick and only took about 15-20 minutes, including removing the freezer door and re-installing freezer door after seal installation. Unfortunately, a new seal did not cure my problem. 4 days later, I have ice building up again. I studied the new seal and noted there are small gaps at the corners of the freezer... Read more

Replaced defrosting timer Read more

Replaced defrost heater, temperature and defrost limiter thermostat. After taking the cover off the air chiller I found the coils frozen solid and defrosted it with a hair dryer. Once defrosted I remover the heater coil to test it it was fine, then I could see the defrost limiter was broken and as I put the unit back together I broke the heater tube (it is glass) so I ordered all the parts that might be defective and replaced them for less than the charge of having some one come to check it out. I bought this relay switch and it works great. On the left side of the compressor there is a plastic cover you pry off with a screw driver. The relay switch had one wire plug on it. Just pull the wire off and the pull the relay switch off the compressor. Read more

After doing a lot of web searching about the problem. It all came down to AppliancePartsPros.com. Watching the repair videos and learning what to do made the job a breeze. The only difficult problem was to thaw out the ice build up on the coils, which took 2 hours. The rest was easy. now I have a freezer/ fridge that is working like new. I removed the lower back panel,I disconnected the two wire plug and removed three mounting screws and removed the motor.Then I removed the threaded fan nut and installed the fan on the new motor.Installed the three mounting screw to the bracket and reinstalled the plug.Replaced the lower panel,runs like new Read more
