Replacement oven door hinge that supports and controls door swing. Needed when hinge is worn, broken, or bent causing door sag or improper closure.
The doors on our double wall oven (pro model) have been sagging partially open forever. I was told by someone somewhere that replacing the hinges wouldn't help. I read up on others with this problem of microwave-wall oven combination Whirlpool Gold. This is the black glass cooktop surface that sits on top of the range, providing the cooking area where pots and pans are placed over the heating elements below. It serves as both the structural top of the range and the smooth cooking surface. Replace this glass top if it is cracked, chipped, or shattered, as damage can expose heating elements and create a safety hazard.
Once you are resigned to disconnecting the exhaust fan system under the range so you can remove the range from the surrounding counter, the rest is easy. once out, its 8 screws to remove the top and 8 screws to remove the heating elements, and 2 simple wire conneop back onto the stovectors. I was able to order new hinge receiver brackets for the door. The repair was not that bad. I just had to take off the lower door, take the two trim pieces off the sides and unscrew the screws holding the oven into the face of the cabinet. Then slide it out about halfway and put a step stool under the front to keep it from tipping over. Turned the power off. Lifted the oven door up and off.to make access easier and to clean an replace gasket.Then unscrewed the element brackets. Cleaned oven. Took oven door apart to replace gasket ,you have to separate the door halves to clean window and get the gasket out. This is where you better take pictures and notes. This couldn't have been simpler! Removed the glass panel by taking out 4 screws on the bottom that were accessed by opening the oven door. Lifted up, then pulled the panel forward, released one electrical connection, and the panel was disconnected and could be laid on a flat surface.
