After extremely poor support from WhirlpooI and researching numerous U-Tube videos, I fully troubleshot potential failed components and connections. All appeared to function properly, so I reassembled the unit and experienced the same problem as before. • Exhaust fan not working

Replacing this filter was very easy: two screws hold in the grill cover at the top of the microwave, and then the filter just slides in and out of its holder. There was quite a bit of grease in the area, probably pulled there by the vent from the stove top. I cleaned the grease up and also hand-washed the wire-mesh filter on the bottom of the microwave with soap and warm water. Airflow when running the vent is now noticeably better. Read more

After checking other reviews, we decided it was best to replace the interlocks, cam and all three switches. You're going to need a phillips screwdriver, star driver, small screwdriver and needle nose pliers. You need to remove the ONE Phillips screw above the control panel inside the vent. The contol panel is on hinges that you can slide up and towards you. Using caution remove the wires noting how they're connected. Pinch the top of the white connectors and wiggle them free. Ordered mounting bracket but was surprised to find that the bracket model number had changed many times from the manufacter date of the microwave vent unit. Was hesitant if I was ordering the right part but I trusted the cross referencing of appliance parts pro and I got the exact bracket that I needed Read more

Ordered from an appliance store and got wrong bulbs. They wanted to charge $15.00 each for the right ones. Your sight had then for $7.00. Read more

Watched a You tube video, showed how to remove bottom, unhook wiring, then proceed to top case. Once removed, case is turned upside down so the capture nut can be installed. Part fit perfectly and BAM, done. Case refitted and finished. Part arrived in 2 days. Great service. Read more

It is difficult (if not impossible) to remove the electronic switches from the hard plastic latches. I replaced all three switches and both the upper and lower latches I also replaced the main 20 amp ceramic fuse which blew out when the latch/switches failed. Read more

Very easy fix. Unplugged microwave, then lowered bottom panel, removed the two leads to the turntable motor, removed two screws attached to motor, removed old motor, put new spacer on motor stem, installed motor with same two screws, reattached the two wires, reattached panel ( after cleaning all the grease that built up over the last 6 years), plugged microwave in and good as new! Replacing a magnetron in my particular 9-year-old microwave (a microwave/hood combination) was not a simple “plug & play” operation. That is why I am placing this in the slightly difficult area. I attempted to diagnose the four thermostats/thermal switches in the microwave....two right behind the control panel, one on top of the cooking cabin, and one under a metal shroud above the magnetron. While checking continuity with a voltmeter, i questioned one of them behind the control panel and the one above the magnetron. Well, I gotta say I was happy to find you still had parts for almost 20 year old microwaves. The microwave itself worked fine, so I hated to have to buy a new one, but I just couldn't take being hit in the head anymore; and my fix of using string and wire to tie it to the surrounding cabinets was unsightly to say the least. I'm glad I did some research and found this part - all I had to do was pop it in place and now the vent grill is secure. Problem solved with minimal cost. Read more

Checked switch with a voltmeter, determined the switch was bad. Ordered a new switch....watched a short how to you-tube video.....and from there.....it was fixed. Read more
