The Dual Element Surface Switch is an OEM part for Frigidaire electric ranges and cooktops. It governs power distribution to the dual element.

Causes may be loose electrical terminals within the switch, defects from past power surges, or general wear over extended use.

Symptoms of a bad surface switch include:

Inability to toggle one or both elements independently
Elements activating intermittently or staying stuck on
Overheating, sparks or strange sounds from faulty connections
Repeated burning or singeing of cookware bottoms
