Installed part checked that part floated on its spring mounts and did not touch anything. This assembly includes the spark ignition switches and wiring harness that control the igniter circuits on a gas range or cooktop. The switches detect burner position and signal the igniters to spark when a burner knob is turned. My husband and myself didn't agree on which part was the exact problem. He felt it was the valve. I felt it was the ignitor/ orifice. And we both agreed the Harness-Ignitor needed to be replaced. Just screwed on the new handle. The new handle did not come with threaded holes, but this was OK because the screws that came with the stove were self tapping. This takes a bit more effort and the proper screwdriver, but creates the threads in the handle as you turn the screw. Kudos to A-P Pros for the quick processing and delivery of the order. Read more
