Move stove to unplug, remove rear center panel, indentify the two spade connectors that feed the heating element and remove (unplug) them. Remove two screws that hold the element to the inside rear wall of the stove and remove element. Install new element, plug in the previously removed spade connectors, re-install rear center panel, plug range (power) in, move stove back into place and enjoy. Read more

The hardest part of this repair was a) realizing that the easiest way to clean the oven door pieces is to remove the whole door and b) figuring out how to put the oven door back on. This is a spark ignition switch assembly with wiring harness that controls the electric igniters on a gas range cooktop. It sends voltage to the spark modules when a burner knob is turned, initiating the clicking ignition sequence. Replace this part if your burners won't spark when turned on, spark continuously even when knobs are in the off position, or if only some burners ignite properly.

This is a high-amp SPDT (single pole, double throw) switch used in the oven door mechanism. Replaced faulty latch with new latch. New latch was different configuration, but the fit was okay. The only issue was that the wires to the electric motor were just barely long enough.
