The is is a dishwasher control board. This part is tasked with controlling all of the internal parts of the dishwasher. It regulates the wash cycle, drying cycle, and other parts of a typical washing cycle. This part has many internal components and can become damaged over time or through use. If the dishwasher does not run, starts a cycle but doesn't finish it, or otherwise has functioning issues, this could mean the control board should be replaced. Before starting, make sure the dishwasher is unplugged for safety reasons. Open the door and remove the screws from the inner panel. Separate the panels while disconnecting the wire harness from the control panel. Pull the outer door panel and control panel off the appliance. Install the new part and reconnect wires and ribbons before reassembling the dishwasher. Plug in the appliance and test it.This is a genuine OEM replacement part designed to be compatible with dishwashers by Kenmore and Whirlpool. The control board comes directly from the manufacturer and is sold as a single component.
I did a little research on the internet. I check to make sure it was getting power with Ohm meter. I took the front panel off to see what I could find. AppliancePartsPros had the best price and return policy. I figured I had nothing to lose be trying the part out to see if it would work. I installed the new board and it was alive again.... Read more

Ordered 3 parts dealing with heating and drying dishes. Thermostat and heating coil were ordered and installed separately but did not fix the problem. The final control panel repair fixed the problem. Videos explaining how to install the parts were great. Something that would be very helpful would be to include in the videos how to test each part with a voltmeter to ensure it was good before purchasing the part. I found this information elsewhere after I had needlessly ordered two parts... Read more
