This seal kit includes the gaskets and sealing components that fit between the dishwasher tub and the outer cabinet. These seals prevent water from leaking out of the wash compartment during operation. Replace this kit if you notice water pooling underneath or around the sides of the dishwasher during a wash cycle.
The gasket is fairly straightforward: it's just a press-fit right in to the channel. What you need to know is that you need to stretch the gasket material lengthwise prior to installation; if you don't it will be too short. The problem is that the bottom seal is not included with this gasket kit. The bottom seal begins to loosen at the corners and then begins to allow water past the door. This is a rubber or foam gasket that seals around the electronic control board cover on the dishwasher door. It prevents moisture, steam, and detergent residue from reaching the control board electronics during wash cycles.
