This is a drive motor kit with adapter that powers the drum rotation in a washing machine during wash and spin cycles. The motor converts electrical energy into the mechanical force needed to agitate and spin clothes. Replace this motor if the washer fails to agitate or spin, makes loud humming or grinding noises, or trips the circuit breaker during operation.
