I knew for sure that the hinge with the large spring was damaged, but elected to replace both hinges and receivers. Replacing the parts was fairly easy and would have taken me less then an hour. This model has thin metal covers over the hinge assemblies. I found that squeezing in the sides of the covers help to hold them in place on the hinge while reassembling the door. I ordered a replacement broiler element from AppliancePartsPros.com. I watched the on-line video on how to replace the broil element: this was very informative! The repair went fine, except that the broil element connector wires both retreated into the back of the stove, as was warned in the video. My stove is probably 15 years old and when I was removing the screws that hold the burner in place on top of the stove top, both of them broke off so I had to replace the entire assembly. APP had all the parts I needed and were helpful on the phone. However when I was attempting to loosen the gas line to the burner the tubing wouldn't release from the brass nut and the tubing twisted too much. Like a boss! Seriously, removed oven from wall (2 screws), removed about 15 sheet metal screws from front and top covers, unplugged wire harnesses one (or a few) at a time. Reassembled. Hint. Take a picture of wiring before removing and mark old parts (especially thermal fuse) with sharpie before removing so you don't get confused. Troubleshot the oven by checking the broiler which worked good (same fuel valve). After reading the some tips about troubleshooting the Glow Ignitor I could see the broiler ignitor got white hot and the oven ignitor only got bright orange (orange to red causes intermittent ignition or mini explosions). Changing out the stovetop orifices from natural gas to propane- First thing, turn off the gas. On this model stove, there are five burners-two burners in the front, two in the back and one in the middle. The front two burners are different than the other three, they are the largest burners. Following the instructions that I received through the helpful research of the APP staff, I disconnected the power, disassembled the back of the oven, and accessed the hidden element. This involved bending parts of the sheet metal and cutting the insulation, so I was very apprehensive about doing this.
