This is a fastener and retainer assembly that secures the blower wheel to the motor shaft inside a dryer. It keeps the blower wheel firmly in place so it can properly circulate hot air through the drum and out the exhaust vent. This NTC thermistor is the dryer's temperature sensor. It monitors exhaust air temperature and signals the control to cycle the heat, restoring accurate drying performance and helping prevent overheating, underheating, and inconsistent results.
