The Washing Machine Shock Absorber Kit is an OEM part for LG washing machines. This kit includes a shock absorber designed to reduce vibrations and absorb shocks during the wash cycle, providing stability and minimizing excessive movement.
Over time, the shock absorbers can wear out due to regular use, exposure to heavy or unbalanced loads, or damage from impact. These factors can lead to reduced effectiveness of the shock absorbers, causing increased vibrations and noise.
Symptoms of a bad shock absorber kit include:
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.
Our 10-year-old LG WM2487HWMA front load washer had gradually developed multiple problems. It sounded like a jet engine during high speed spin, both the drain pump and circulation pumps were noisy, it would not drain properly (water was coming in during spin cycle), no water was spraying out at the top of the door into the drum like it is supposed to when the circulation pump was running. It's amazing we had still been able to wash clothes at all! With the help of the excellent... Read more
The Spider is an OEM replacement part for LG washing machines. The spider is a central part located inside the washer tub that the inner tub spins on during the washing cycle. It plays an important role in evenly distributing load vibration across the washer tub and chassis. Causes of a bad spider can include cracks or wear to the plastic housing over time due to continuous use and load stress, or damage from heavy impacts during transport or installation. Symptoms of a bad spider include:
This genuine LG OEM replacement part is also compatible with some Kenmore models.
Looked online at several websites to see if I could figure out the problem Came across AppliancePartsPros video on replacing bearings. Watched it a couple of times and determined (well, guessed) it was the bearings and/or spider. Followed the video (great job by the way) and disassembled the washer. The spider was cracked on one arm so ordered a new one from this site. I also ordered two new bearings and the bearing seal b/c learned from the web and local appliance store that they go bad in 7+... Read more
The Suspension Rod Assembly is an OEM part for LG washing machines. This assembly includes multiple rods designed to support the washing machine drum and minimize vibrations during the wash and spin cycles. By stabilizing the drum, the suspension rods help ensure smooth and quiet operation, preventing excessive movement that could damage the appliance.
Causes of a bad suspension rod assembly can include wear and tear from regular use, imbalance due to overloading the washer, or physical damage from accidental impacts. When the suspension rods are compromised, the washing machine may become unstable and noisy.
Symptoms of a bad suspension rod assembly include:
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.
One of the suspension rods was not working so I replaced the bad one and the other three . Tub has now leveled out and is spinning properly without making the noise. Have not needed to replace the pump but will do so if necessary. Thanks to Appliance Parts Pro for their prompt service and quality products. Read more
The Shock Absorber Kit is an OEM part for LG washing machines. This part minimizes vibrations and absorbs shocks during the washing and spinning cycles. By stabilizing the drum, these shock absorbers ensure smooth and quiet operation, preventing excessive movement and potential damage to the washer.
Causes of a bad shock absorber can include wear and tear over time, heavy or unbalanced loads that put extra strain on the absorbers, or damage from impact or mishandling.
Symptoms of a bad shock absorber include:
After watching the video carefully and taking notes for step-by-step dismantling of the LG washer, I took it apart methodically placing each item on a table in the order removed. I was able to remove and replace the bearings with no problems following the tips and tricks. The spider did not seem to be in bad shape but since I had a new one, it seemed reasonable to replace it as well, but it was difficult to extract the old one from the drum. The bolts are assembled with weld glue, so it is a... Read more
The Suspension Assembly is an OEM part for LG washing machines. This part ensures the stability of the washer during operation by absorbing vibrations and reducing movement. The suspension assembly maintains the balance of the wash drum during the spin cycle, preventing excessive shaking or noise.
Causes of a bad Suspension Assembly can stem from normal wear and tear over time, overloading the machine beyond its capacity, or consistently washing unbalanced loads, which put additional stress on the suspension components.
Symptoms of a bad Suspension Assembly include:
We had a repair man come and tell us the needed repair at the cost of 70.00 I ordered the parts and saved money. Read more
The Spider is an OEM part for LG washing machines. As the rear tub support, it is located behind the outer tub and provides structural support during the spinning cycles. The spider braces against excessive vibration and movement to maintain integrity of the washer tub under heavy loads.
Causes of a bad spider can include cracks, breaks, or loosening due to wear and tear over time from stress of the spinning cycles. Metal fatigue from years of use also contributes.
Symptoms of a bad spider include:
This LG part is also compatible with some Kenmore models.
This drum spider supports and centers the inner tub in front-load washers. It bolts to the drum and couples to the drive shaft to keep spins smooth and balanced, reducing noise and vibration as the original wears.
The Spider Arm is an OEM part for LG washing machines. As an important component linking internal mechanics, the spider arm connects the basket or tub to other components like the drive motor. It facilitates the spinning motion essential for washing cycles while also enabling water to properly agitate clothing.
Symptoms of a bad spider arm include:
Causes of a bad spider arm can be regular use over several years, damage from excessively heavy loads, or impact from an object inside the tub. Not replacing a faulty spider arm can accelerate damage to other expensive parts.
This LG replacement part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.
This washer shock absorber mounts between the outer tub and base to control movement during spin. Replacing a worn damper restores stability, reduces vibration and noise, and helps prevent the machine from walking or banging.

This inner tub hub connects the washer's inner drum to the drive assembly, providing a secure rotational link so the drum can spin properly. Replacing a damaged hub restores drum stability and reduces noise or wobbling. What it does:
Replaced clutch assy, but it also took the pulsator plate and the tub plate, because they were frozen on and damaged to come off. Also accidentally disconnected water level sensor line in top controller. Washer almost overfilled until we noticed. Easy fix, but must reconnect (calibrate) with an empty tub. Works beautiful now! BTW, the 38mm nut in the tub on mine also had a 32mm as well. New tub plate was slightly different and used the bolts as self tapping and did not use the nuts. Plate was... Read more
This drum spider is the rear support that attaches the washer's inner drum to the drive assembly, restoring stable spinning and reducing wobble, banging and vibration caused by a cracked or corroded support. What it does:
Replaced the bearings, seal, spider gear, and tub gasket. A little tough getting the spider gear shaft off bearings. Wish I bought the bolts to secure the spider to the tub, had to heat them to get them loose, but all in all, followed the video steps and it went smoothly. Read more
