Shock absorber kit reduces vibrations and stabilizes the drum during wash cycles. Replace if worn, leaking, or causing excessive movement and noise.
Our 10-year-old LG WM2487HWMA front load washer had gradually developed multiple problems. It sounded like a jet engine during high speed spin, both the drain pump and circulation pumps were noisy, it would not drain properly (water was coming in during spin cycle), no water was spraying out at the top of the door into the drum like it is supposed to when the circulation pump was running. It's amazing we had still been able to wash clothes at all! With the help of the excellent... Read more
Central hub that connects the inner tub to the drive shaft in washers. Replace if corroded, cracked, or arms have broken off causing wobble or imbalance.
Looked online at several websites to see if I could figure out the problem Came across AppliancePartsPros video on replacing bearings. Watched it a couple of times and determined (well, guessed) it was the bearings and/or spider. Followed the video (great job by the way) and disassembled the washer. The spider was cracked on one arm so ordered a new one from this site. I also ordered two new bearings and the bearing seal b/c learned from the web and local appliance store that they go bad in 7+... Read more
Suspension rod kit for washers. Supports the drum and reduces vibration during wash and spin cycles. Replace when rods are broken, worn, or damaged.
One of the suspension rods was not working so I replaced the bad one and the other three . Tub has now leveled out and is spinning properly without making the noise. Have not needed to replace the pump but will do so if necessary. Thanks to Appliance Parts Pro for their prompt service and quality products. Read more
Replaces worn or broken shock absorbers that stabilize the drum in your washer. Installs at the base of the tub to dampen vibrations during spin cycles.
After watching the video carefully and taking notes for step-by-step dismantling of the LG washer, I took it apart methodically placing each item on a table in the order removed. I was able to remove and replace the bearings with no problems following the tips and tricks. The spider did not seem to be in bad shape but since I had a new one, it seemed reasonable to replace it as well, but it was difficult to extract the old one from the drum. The bolts are assembled with weld glue, so it is a... Read more

Rear tub support spider for washers. Mounts behind the outer tub to brace against vibration during spin cycles. Replace if cracked or broken.
An online search for LG washing machine parts came up with a repair video from Appliance Parts Pros. I watched the video. It was very well done, very detailed, and took you step by step through the entire process to replace the tub bearings and the spider, from start to finish. After watching the video, I realized this repair was well within my abilities. No specialized tools were needed. I ordered the parts from Appliance Parts Pros, and all items were in stock and delivered within a couple... Read more

Spider arm connects the wash basket to the drive shaft in front-load washers. Replace if cracked, corroded, or broken to restore proper basket support.
Inner tub hub plate mounts inside your washer drum. Replace if cracked, damaged during clutch repair, or frozen onto the pulsator assembly.
Replaced clutch assy, but it also took the pulsator plate and the tub plate, because they were frozen on and damaged to come off. Also accidentally disconnected water level sensor line in top controller. Washer almost overfilled until we noticed. Easy fix, but must reconnect (calibrate) with an empty tub. Works beautiful now! BTW, the 38mm nut in the tub on mine also had a 32mm as well. New tub plate was slightly different and used the bolts as self tapping and did not use the nuts. Plate was... Read more

Rear tub support that holds the inner drum and connects it to the drive assembly. Replace if cracked, corroded, or broken to restore stability.
Replaced the bearings, seal, spider gear, and tub gasket. A little tough getting the spider gear shaft off bearings. Wish I bought the bolts to secure the spider to the tub, had to heat them to get them loose, but all in all, followed the video steps and it went smoothly. Read more
