Broken belt switch Jack F. • Hermosa Beach , CA • July 08, 2016
Every time I tried to start our dryer, the "Sensing Light" came on, I heard a little "click," and the dryer would not start.
According to the very helpful Appliance Parts Pros. videos, I was able to dismantle, diagnose a few components, and discover the broken part. In this case, it was a Broken Belt Switch.
I ordered the part, we went on vacation for a week, and when we returned home the part was at our residence. The next day, I installed the part and all is good now.
I am nearly 70 years...

Dryer drum was beginning to stall occasionally Dana J E. • San Marcos , CA • March 17, 2015
After shopping for a new Whirlpool Thin Twin Stack, Found appliance parts pros online and decided to take it apart to see if repair was a possibility. APPro's online instructions were easy to follow, in a couple hours it was apart, and I placed the order. Reg ground took a week from NY, so the laundry piled up that week. Dryer won't stay running after releasing start button? A faulty power relay is often the cause. This relay keeps the motor spinning consistently.

Loud squeaking noise Karen H. • Crossville , TN • March 30, 2015
I went online and typed in my model number. I was just going to order the dryer belt, but decided that changing all the movable parts at the same time would be best - I definitely recommend doing this, since it was the tensioner pulley and not the belt. My husband is handy, which is why this was not a problem. The whole dryer needs to come apart in order to do this repair. At first I thought I received the wrong parts because I have a front load washer and dryer set, but the picture on the...

The vent on the air duct assembly had become rusted Christy R. • Arlington , TX • August 04, 2015
My son and I took the back panel off the dryer and found that the dryer was full of lint. It was very dirty and probably explains why the dryer had no been working as well. We cleaned the dryer out, took off the old air duct assembly and replaced it with the new one. We also replaced the old dryer hose while we had it pulled out. The repair was very easy, simply a matter of unscrewing screws and then reattaching them. Based on how dirty the dryer was it is probably a good idea to check the...
